Terry J. (Soultz) Jones
September 20, 1956 - November 15, 2021

Terry J. (Soultz) Jones, 65 of Jonesboro, died Monday, November 15, 2021, at Marion Health.

Terry was born in Marion, Indiana on September 20, 1956, the daughter of the late Charles A. (Chuck) and M. Ellen (Monts) Soultz. She graduated from Mississinewa High School in 1974 and attended Jonesboro Main Street Wesleyan. Terry was a librarian at Jonesboro Library for 31 years before retiring in 2018. She had also worked in House Keeping II at Marion General Hospital for 10 years. Her grandchildren, that she loved spending time with, affectionately called her girlfriend or Tau Tau. She enjoyed mowing the yard, sitting on the front porch, being the Jonesboro Gossip Columnist, bald eagles, and doing Black Friday Shopping.

Terry is survived by two children, Adam (Cheyenne) Soultz and Curtis Jones both of Jonesboro; five siblings, Mary (Donald) Gilbert, Jonesboro, Pam (Dwight "Ike") Jones, Pendleton, Darrell "Butch" (Arlene) Soultz, Swayzee, Lee (Rhonda) Soultz, Upland, and Alexander P. "Al" (Ginny) Soultz, Jonesboro; brother-in-law Kenneth Shaffer, Atlanta; three grandchildren, Nicholus, Nathaniel, and Anna.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nanette Shaffer.


Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana where visitation will be on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, from 4-6 PM with the funeral service at 6 PM with Clay Soultz officiating. Private interment will take place at a later date at Park Cemetery, Fairmount.

Memorial contributions may be made to Gilead Ministries or the Jonesboro Library in care of the funeral home.
