Lois L. Bell, 91, of Mount Pleasant died Friday, November 12, 2021, at Arbor Court in Mount Pleasant.
Lois was born June 22, 1930, in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, the daughter of Earl and Dorthea (Southwick) Piper. Lois worked as a cook and baker at Buff's Truckstop and at Arbor Court. She was known for making delicious pies and cakes. Lois enjoyed the time she spent in the kitchen and making crafts. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Lois is survived by her son Terry (Linda) Austin of Vesper, Wisconsin; 4 step-children; 14 grandchildren, 27 step-grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, 5 great step-grandchildren, and two nieces.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Sharon Heater, grandson Travis, great granddaughter Tracy, three brothers and two sisters.
According to Lois' wishes her body has been cremated and a graveside service will be held at a later date. The Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel is caring for Lois and her family.
