A 1967 graduate of Washington High School, June was a homemaker who provided childcare for many families over the years. She will be forever remembered for her Red Velvet cakes that many families enjoyed for their own special occasions and holidays. She was a former member of T.O.P.S. June loved to take walks at the Eastside Park and enjoyed painting and decorating the wood projects that Gary built. But, most of all, June loved children and spending time with her family and friends. She was a devoted member of the Main Street Wesleyan Church, now known as the Southwind Wesleyan Church in Washington, Indiana.
Those who now miss June and cherish her memory include: her husband, Gary Mattingly; daughter, Tabitha (Jason) Long of Byron Center, Michigan, and Michael (Amanda) Mattingly of Springville, Indiana. June was blessed with six grandchildren: Anthony, Gavin, and Nicolas Long; Tristan (Emily) Porter; Jaylynn (Michael) Hutchinson; and Brady Mattingly. She also had two great-grandchildren: Evelyn and Avery. Additionally, June leaves behind brothers, Carl (Jeannie) Ledgerwood of Orleans, Roger (Kris) Ledgerwood of Washington; and sister, Darlene (Bob) Hughes of Washington.
June is now rejoicing in Heaven with her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmo and Maxine Ledgerwood; sisters: Jean Charles, Doris Rice, Sue Freeman, and brother, William Ledgerwood.

"June you were truly an amazing person who had a heart of gold. I?ll never forget the summers spent at your house growing up, eating red velvet cake, going shopping at Catos, always having ham salad to eat at the lake or to bring back to college with me or your infectious smile & laugh that always brightened up a room just to bake a few. May you Rest In Peace and live an eternal life of joy in Heaven. Love you always. "
