Carrie Lynn Tuimala Rose, 62, of Marquette, died unexpectedly Sunday, November 7, 2021 at her residence.

Carrie was born July 6, 1959 in Marquette to Sharon (Howard) Ellis and the late Victor Tuimala. She was raised in Marquette and graduated with the Marquette Senior High School Class of 1977. Carrie then went on to earn her cosmetology degree.

Carrie worked various jobs throughout her life. Her greatest joy was her two grandchildren, Hailey and Austin. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for over 30 years and also participated in the women's pool league.

Carrie is survived by her two grandchildren, Hailey and Austin Rose; her mother, and step-father, Sharon and Howard Ellis; her life partner, Mike Willis; her siblings, Cathy Tuimala of Marquette, Vince (Carolyn) Tuimala of Negaunee, Michael (Vickie) Tuimala of Boynton Beach, FL, Connie (Shawn) Horton of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, and Christine Ellis of Marquette; four nephews, Adam Tuimala of Phoenix, AZ, and Zach, Nick and Seth Horton of Sault Ste. Marie, MI; her niece, Kaitlin Tuimala of Boynton Beach, FL; and her aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Victor Tuimala, her son, Benjamin Thomas Rose, her grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, may they all be playing cribbage together beyond the pearly gates.

There will be no visitation or funeral service at this time.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the "Brooke Rose for the Children" Trust Account at Embers Credit Union.
