In loving memory of

Kathy A. Grenga
February 6, 1945 - November 7, 2021

Kathy A. (Mancini) Grenga

On February 6, 1945, Kathy Grenga was born Kathy Ann Mancini to loving parents, Dominic and Dorothy Mancini in Boise, Idaho.

Dominic worked as a carpenter and Dorothy worked at a bank. They modeled what a marriage should be, and, as Kathy grew, she took this perfect example of marriage to heart. Eventually, Kathy became a big sister to Donna and attended Franklin High School (though she never did enjoy school much).

Kathy was described by those who were lucky enough to know her as a beautiful, classy, loving, and generous woman. She was intelligent and had a great sense of humor - always ready to support someone in need.

Kathy loved spending time with her family and friends, playing games, going shopping, or even just watching tv. She enjoyed crafts, photography, videography, and appreciated fine fashion and jewelry.

She was remarkably clean and deeply disliked anything that tracked dirt and grime into the house like animals and sports equipment.
Her favorite saying was "And......."

Kathy worked cleaning homes on Park Avenue - a job that would someday lead her to her future husband, Sonny Grenga.

When she wasn't working, she was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church and frequently hosted bible studies. Kathy also was a member of something like a family club called the "aunts club".

She really enjoyed socializing and became a beloved member of many communities she joined. One day, while at work, Kathy was introduced to Sonny Grenga. They were fixed up by Sonny's sister, and the pair got along swimmingly. Eventually, they married and had their daughter, Toni Marie.

Kathy and Sonny's marriage was one filled with love and respect. Together, they frequently went out with friends, made time for family dinners, and watched their favorite shows together.

Some of her favorite programs and movies were Gone with the Wind, Monk, Friends, Mad about You, All in the Family, Taxi, Cheers, and Miracle on 34th Street.

Kathy's love of music and entertainment started in grade school, where she learned to play the violin. Once she grew up, she favored listening to jazz and Christmas music, with her favorite artists being Johnny Mathis and Barbara Streisand.

Nothing, however, was more important to Kathy than her family and the Lord.
She was introduced to her faith by a close friend, Jerry Pavia. From then on, being a Christian was a huge part of Kathy's identity and lifestyle. She was a faith-filled person who loved the Lord with confidence, grace, and selflessness.
Kathy will be eternally remembered as someone who made a difference in the lives of those who met her.

On November 7, 2021, Kathy passed away peacefully at age 76. Kathy is predeceased by her husband Sonny Grenga. She is survived by her daughter, Toni (Jeff) Williams; grandchildren, Angelina Williams, Isabella Williams & Tim Williams; sister, Donna Bennett; several nieces, nephews, cousins & dear friends.
