Paul Shirley
July 2, 1963 - October 13, 2021

Paul Shirley, 58, passed away on October 13, 2021. He was preceded in death by his loving mother Sandra Berger. He is survived by two children, Jessica Berkheimer and Justin Shirley, two grandchildren Winnie and LJ Keperling, two sisters, Elizabeth Alexander and Carol Shirley, and many other cousins, aunts and uncles, and his well loved puppy, Ben.

He was born on July 2, 1963 and grew up in Levittown PA. He traveled the world in the Navy as a young man, and settled in California when his daughter was born. After the birth of his son, Pennsylvania became his home, but he loved Tennessee; and later in life was able to call that his home. He was a man who put family above all else and followed the scripture, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends," with everyone, even complete strangers. He was happiest when he was with his family, and fishing. He loved nature and the tranquility it offered. He is deeply loved, and will be missed terribly by all of his family and friends. The world lost a man who would always help those who needed a hand. May all of his earthly pains and frustrations be gone and he can continue on in peace. As Paul would say, he's Gone Fishing.
