Patricia "Patty" Gill
September 3, 1936 - October 18, 2021

Patricia Ann "Patty" Gill, 85, passed away at The Villages of Oakridge on October 18, 2021. She was born in Washington, September 3, 1936, to Charles and Marjorie Boyer. She married Joseph Gill on October 26, 1963.

Patty was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. She graduated from Washington Catholic High School in 1954. After graduation, she worked at the Washington Utilities Department, WAMW/WFML radio station, Killion's Office Products, and, finally at the Washington Greenhouse alongside her husband and family.

She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was known by her grandchildren and their friends as "Hammy." She was there for every sporting event, talent show, school production, or whatever it was, she was there. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and their friends.

Patty was always up for having fun. She was known for her laugh and smile. She always made the best of the situation, even though Alzheimer's continued to progress. She had a great love for animals and they always brought her comfort. She also enjoyed reading. She was an amazing cook and baker.

Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; her son, John T. Gill; her sister, Carolyn; and her parents, Charles and Marjorie Boyer. Surviving are her daughter, Laurie (Gill) Arnold, son-in-law, Mark Arnold; and grandchildren, Cullen Arnold and Megan Arnold.

Visitation for Patty Gill is set for Thursday, October 21, 2021, 4:30-7:00 pm, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 22, 11:00 am, also at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. Father Paul Ferguson will be the celebrant. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery.
