James Michael Gibson, age 63, of Gwinnett County, GA, went to be with God on October 11, 2021. He was born on September 19, 1958 in Atlanta, GA. He was the son of Julian and Inez Gibson. Michael was the youngest of four children. He loved going to church and volunteering as the handyman. He loved spending time with family and friends. Michael was a valued employee of Alan Densmore Inc. Trucking Company. He loved driving and meeting new people. Michael always had a story to share with anyone he met. He is preceded in death by his parents, Julian and Inez Gibson; older brother, Junior (J.R.) Gibson.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Patricia Saxon Gibson of Lawrenceville; son, James Michael Gibson Jr. of Lawrenceville; sisters, Diane (Randy) Eley of Smyrna, Judy Pelham of Cumming; nieces, Nicole Gibson Miller, Michelle Gibson, Kathy De Witte, Janet Cain, Annissa Wyatt; nephews, Corey Pelham, Rand Eley.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Gober of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and Rev. Alfred Ricketts of Faith Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and on Saturday, from 9:00 AM until the hour of service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family for medical bills.
