Jean Agrimson
June 28, 1926 - October 14, 2021

UTICA, MN - Jean E. Agrimson, 95, of rural Utica, MN died peacefully on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at her home. Jean Ellen Peterson was born on June 28, 1926, in Sebeka, MN to Alfred and Esther (Olson) Peterson. On February 22, 1947, Jean was united in marriage with Orville Agrimson at Arendahl Lutheran Church in rural Peterson, MN. Following their marriage, the couple co-owned and operated a grocery store on Nicollet Avenue in Minneapolis, MN. After a few years they moved to rural Utica where they farmed for many years. Jean worked as the bookkeeper on the farm. Jean was a very active member of Arendahl Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school, took on many leadership roles and was in the quilting group until 2019. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, baking, sewing, cross stitch and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Jean will be dearly missed by her children Patricia (Carlie) Madison, Sandra Renk, Keith (Jo Anne) Agrimson, and Kevin Agrimson; grandchildren Jeremy (Lori) Madison, Mitchell (KJ) Madison, Stephanie (Adam) Roos and Jacob (Lisa) Agrimson; and great-grandchildren Cole, Hunter, and Felicity Madison; Isaac and Elliot Roos; and Miles, Wade and Collins Agrimson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville; son-in-law, Dennis Renk; parents: Alfred and Esther Peterson; and sisters Violet and Ethel and their husbands.
The family wishes to give thanks to God for the loving care provided by so many Heartland Hospice workers and volunteers and the prayers, cards, letters, food, and gift of conversation and song given by relatives, friends, and neighbors.
There will be a funeral service for Jean at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Arendahl Lutheran Church in rural Peterson with Reverend Sarah Walker Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Arendahl Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service in Rushford and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.
Jean's family prefers memorials directed to Heartland Hospice or to the donor's choice.
