Margarita Jimenez Manzano
December 18, 1926 - October 10, 2021

Margarita Jimenez was called home on October 10th, 2021, after 94 wonderful years on this earth. She was born December 18th, 1926, in Barcelona Spain to Laura Manzano and Antonio Jimenez. Her childhood years were spent moving and living in various countries including Spain, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the last 16 years of her life in Phoenix, Arizona. She attended schools in Mexico City and ultimately the University of Puerto Rico where she graduated with a degree in Fine Arts and later a graduate degree in Library Sciences. Margarita worked as a medical librarian for 30 years at the School of Tropical Medicine and later at the University of Puerto Rico's Medical Center.

She was a loving daughter, mother and wife and was married for 15 years to Armando Bras, with whom she had two sons, Armando, and Emilio. She is survived by Armando (Barbara) and Emilio (Gabriella), grandchildren Emilio James, Pablo Jaime (Jackie), Gina (Brad), Raphael, Alejandro, Elena, and great-grandchildren Neko, Arlo and Naomi.

Margarita enjoyed traveling after her retirement and was blessed with friends at Fountain Hills Village, Scottsdale Ranch Estates and Torbrook Manor. She loved watercolor painting and shared her work with friends and family. She also enjoyed the classic arts, especially the ballet. One of her favorite activities was visiting museums wherever she traveled.

A private family service will be held at future date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Jude's Hospital.
