Denise ("Dee Dee") Faye Einertson, 60, of Des Moines, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. at the Giovannetti Shelter (9000 Douglas Ave, Urbandale, Iowa). Following the visitation, a memorial service will begin at 1:00 p.m. The family asks that if you attend, please wear something fun and bright in honor of her personality. Denise was born on February 15, 1961, in Iowa City, Iowa to James and Joyce (Vanzile) Einertson. She grew up in Des Moines where she attended high school and later attended DMACC. She was a dedicated worker who held various jobs over the years in food service and hospitality and was well known by her fellow coworkers as always keeping it upbeat. Denise was a proud member of the Sokaogon Chippewa Tribe, was a woman of faith, and a supporter of the charity St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in honor of her daughter who survived childhood leukemia. She was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren and beamed with joy when she spoke about their accomplishments. She had a passion for music (anything electronic dance or Led Zeppelin) and she loved baseball; particularly the Yankees since her brother Darrell had once played for them. Denise will always be remembered as a spunky, kind-hearted, and down-to-earth woman. In the words of Denise herself, "who loves ya baby?".

Those left to cherish her loving memory are her children Kenneth Rodine IV of Altoona, IA, Mary (Thomas) Rizzocascio of Boynton Beach, FL, and Corey (Deadrah) Lakehouse of Altoona, IA; grandchildren Vivienne Nalevanko, Sebastian Rodine, and Neovanni Rizzocascio; father James Einertson of Altoona, IA; brothers Daniel (Patty) Einertson, John Einertson, and Darrell Einertson; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, brothers Dwayne Einertson and James Einertson, and sister Joanie Einertson.

Anyone wishing to honor Denise is requested to make a contribution toward her grandchildren's education fund.

Celebrate Life Iowa has been entrusted with Denise's Cremation Care.
