We are grateful to have loved him and heart broken to have lost him. A long resident of Arizona but born in Harlingen, Texas. Moved to Phoenix in 1961. Worked as a Bus Driver for 20 years in Phoenix, AZ area and 15 years in Hereford, AZ area, and eventually retiring in Sierra Vista, AZ.

He loved the outdoors, fishing, vintage automobiles, different types of firearms and western movies. He was a cowboy at heart and liked to dress the part from belt buckles, western shirts to cowboy hats. And to top off his new joy, he was happily baptized by his Pastor Grandson, Bernie Rivera Jr. In the end he left this world with eyes open and a smile as he entered the arms of his Saviour, Jesus Christ on October 3rd at 4:02pm.

Tributes

Bernie Rivera Jr wrote on Oct 17, 2021:

"I walked along side my mother and father as they cared for Aristeo in his final months, and through that I was able to witness one of the greatest demonstrations of Christ's love that I have ever seen. Though I have wept much in the face of the pain and loss, I find so much peace knowing that in his final moments he was surrounded by the vigilant and tender care of those that loved him deeply ."

Frankie Figueroa Jr wrote on Oct 12, 2021:

"He lived as a strong man that proved one could change his future not based on his past. He was definitely loved."
