In loving memory of

Carol Lott-Knight
August 22, 1955 - September 29, 2021

Carol Lott-Knight was born with her twin brother Kim Lott in Wichita Kansas on August 22, 1955, to Charles and Birdie Lott.

Carol spent the early part of her youth within several communities in the state of Oklahoma. She was nurtured and cared for by her maternal Uncle Skinner & Aunt Wy Benton who were a strong influence in her life also introducing her to the Christian faith. She would later attend church at Pentecostal Temple C.O.G.I.C. in Wichita Kansas.

Carol came to California after the loss of her mother in December 1971. Where she lived with her elder sister Patricia and Ezar Lawrence and attended and graduated from Lincoln High School in San Diego, California. Carol also attended City College.

Carol exemplified two characteristics of being industrious and dedicated. She was a young wife and mother, who worked tirelessly to provide for family. She held several positions that were not fulfilling until she landed the position working for the City of San Diego. She then began her career of thirty-four years with the city and would attend workshops and training to prepare for advancements. She served the city in many different locations and departments which included: Public Library, Police Department, Event Planning and finally the Water Accounting Department, where she retired in 2020.

Carol was a woman who had a flair for decor and fashion. She displayed this in her home and in her stylish manner of dressing and in how she dressed her children. She could take the smallest item and accessorize to make it look spectacular.
