Joseph G. "Babe" Crepeau

Joseph G. Babe Crepeau, 90, of Woonsocket, died October 2, 2021 in Landmark Medical Center. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Jeremie and Alida (Forest) Crepeau. He lived in Woonsocket his entire life.

Mr. Crepeau worked as a truck driver for Bileau Transportation, Branch Motor Freight, and Kens Foods. He later was a charter bus driver for Pawtuxet Valley Bus Lines, and Conway Bus, retiring in 2005. Mr. Crepeau was an Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the Teamsters Local #170, Worcester, and enjoyed playing baseball and softball.

He leaves his sons, Thomas Crepeau and his wife, Joanne, of Warwick, Peter Crepeau of Woonsocket, and John Crepeau and his wife, Deborah, of Rumford; three grandchildren, Erik, Jeremie, and Leah Crepeau; and a great granddaughter, Lily Crepeau. He was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Marcel Crepeau, and two sisters, Rita Masse and Margaret Ducharme.

His funeral will be held Friday, October 8, 2021 beginning at 9 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Precious Blood Church, 94 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter. Calling hours are Thursday from 5-7 PM.
