Eldon Kammerer, 91, of Glenwood, IA and former Pacific Junction resident, passed away at his home in Glenwood on Sunday, October 3, 2021. Private burial will be held at the Omaha National Cemetery in Omaha, NE.
Eldon Lee Kammerer was born on May 2, 1930 in Blockton, IA to Orval Roy and Elizabeth Hattie (Shafer) Kammerer. He enlisted and served with the United States Army. On December 8, 1954 he married Ruth Arlene Cowperthwait in Plattsmouth, NE. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood is caring for Eldon and his family.
Eldon is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth; daughter Elda Parks; granddaughter Kelly Lynn Ray
Eldon is survived by his daughters, Kim Kammerer of Glenwood, IA and Suzy Gustin and her husband Barry of Glenwood, IA; granddaughter Skye Booton and her husband Chad of Council Bluffs, IA; great grandchildren Zack Booton and his wife Gabrielle and Aidan Booton all of Council Bluffs, IA; sisters, Edith Brown and Lori Martin both of Arizona.
