Roger J. Menard

Roger J. Menard, 85, of Woonsocket, died December 15, 2020 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of Loretta (Reith) Menard whom he married October 25, 1958. Born in Manville, he was the son of the late Arthur and Florence (Conway) Menard.

Mr. Menard served in the Rhode Island National Guard and worked as a meat cutter for fifty-five years, most recently for Stop Shop, North Smithfield. Rogersloves were fishing with his sons, Sunday dinners surrounded by his family, and numerous grandchildren, watching the New England Patriots, and sharing his home with all who entered. Traveling brought great joy to Roger, especially the trip he took to Europe. He was a devout Catholic who prayed the rosary daily. He leaves a legacy to his children of hard work and dedication to family and friends.

Along with is wife, Loretta, he is survived by ten children, Patricia Coffey and her companion, James Dauley of Woonsocket, Christopher Menard and his wife, Jamie of Waverly, KS, Shelly Tardif and her husband, John of Cutchogue, NY, Steven Menard and his wife, Anna of North Smithfield, Thomas Menard and his wife, Maureen of Smithfield, Peter Menard and his wife, Angela of Woonsocket, Douglas Menard and his wife, Lauren of Woonsocket, Patrick Menard and his wife, Jenny of Blackstone, Mary-Ellen Abramek and her husband, Brian of Cumberland, and Elizabeth Robillard and her husband, Scott of Lincoln; a brother, Arthur Menard of Cumberland; a sister, Joan Dombkowski of Cumberland; thirty grandchildren, Joseph, Elyse, Erin, Ryan, Jessica, Katie, Brian, Joseph, John, Justin, Tylor, Meghan, Joshua, Jack, Tess, Jordan, Kayla, Noah, Abigail, Christopher, Hannah, Emilia, Gabrielle, Sophia, Christian, Quinlan, Fiona, Connor, Alexis, and Julia; and seventeen great grandchildren, Jeyliana, Ebanee, Ariana, Madeline, Thomas, Laila, Madison, Lyric, Tristan, Lucas, Jackson, Maeve, Hunter, Destini, Natalee, Mirabelle, and Roman. He was the brother of the late Edward, James, and Gerry Menard, Pauline Plante, and Thelma Frankian, and grandfather of the late Aidan Abramek.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, December 21, 2020 at 11:30 AM in All Saints Parish, 323 Rathbun St., Woonsocket and may be viewed live at https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/35292064 Attendance for burial is private, but may also be viewed live at https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/94822845 Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
