Doris E. Berard

Doris E. (Twining) Berard, 85, of Woonsocket, died May 12, 2019 in Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of Philip E. Berard, Jr., whom she married December 14, 1957. Born in Chicopee, MA, she was the daughter of the late Clifford D. and Gertrude (Knowlton) Twining.

Doris worked as a CNA at Woonsocket Health Center, until her retirement. She previously worked in various local mills. Doris was a member of the Parkview Manor Social Club. She loved to craft, play BINGO with the people at Parkview Apartments and most recently enjoyed diamond art.

Besides her husband she leaves her daughter, Janis Berard-Aubin, and her husband, Marc Aubin, of Blackstone; her son, Quest Von Holland, of Anchorage, AK; her brother, Richard Twining, of Wake Robin, GA; three sisters, Beverly Drover, of La Jolla, CA, Jean Carriere, of FL, and Judith Beaudet, of Salisbury, NH; her sister in law, Lillian Berard-Corriveau of Greenville; her brother in law, Richard O. Berard, Sr. of Woonsocket; and many beloved nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by six brothers, Charles, Earl, Ernie, Everett, Milton, and Robert Twining; and three sisters, Florence LaRue, Virginia Osbourne, and Shirley Perry.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019 beginning with visitation at 2 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St. A memorial service will follow at 4 PM.
