Thomas C. Mazzarella

Thomas C. Mazzarella, Sr. 75, of Woonsocket, died Sunday, December 23, 2018 in Milford Regional Medical Center, Milford, MA. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Cosmo T. and Grace (Ledoux) Mazzarella.

Mr. Mazzarella was a graduate of Mt. St. Charles Academy. He worked as a phlebotomist for Fogarty Hospital and other private labs for 20 years, and for Milford Regional Medical Center for 20 years, retiring in 2013. Thomas was a member of the Woonsocket Lodge of Elks #850, and enjoyed golfing and softball.

He leaves two sons, Thomas C. Mazzarella, Jr. and his wife Michelle of Douglas, MA, and Michael A. Mazzarella of Cumberland; two sisters, Chick Arnold of Coventry and Maureen Kennedy of Niverville, NY; six grandchildren; and one great grandson.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 1-4 PM, with a service at 3:45 PM, in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Woonsocket Lodge of Elks #850, PO Box 879, Woonsocket, RI 02895.

It was always fun working with him - he had a great sense of humor- We all enjoyed his many jokes and nicknames for everyone. He was also very knowledgeable -He was our ""go to"" person in Hematology for all of the medical technologists and always helped everyone.He will be surely missed. RIP"
