"I am so sorry for your loss. When I was growing up , Eddy was like a big brother to me not just a friend. We had a lot of fun at Webster lake and camping at Burlinggame State park with the families and he taught me water skiing, boating and helped me to swim and defended me from teasing cousins. My prayers go out for him as well as the family he left behind. I found this while I was going to send him a Happy Birthday today whjich I have remembered every year while we loss touch. Love you big brother."

Chief Ed Raposo (Ret.) wrote on Nov 16, 2018:
"Ed LaBarre rose to the rank of Assistant Chief Engineer while at the Nasonville Fire Department, and was an active member for a long time participating in drills, standbys, and both fire and rescue calls for most of his tenure. Few other members of the Engineering team brought the same level of dedication and diligence that Ed brought to the tasks assigned to him regarding the maintenance, modifications, and oversight required by our fleet of apparatus. Issues with his health led to his reduced responsibilities over time, but Ed was always a very eager member, and always participated in the official Fire Department events over the years. He was a friend."

He quick smile and willing hands will be sorely missed by the US Army, Nasonville Volunteer Fire Department and the countless people he has helped during his lifetime. Rest easy Ed....you've earned it!"
