In loving memory of

Daniel R. Eskeli
June 21, 2018

Daniel Richard Eskeli of Blackstone, MA passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston, MA, after a brave and stubborn battle against Leukemia. Dan was born in Elmira, NY to Herbert and Phyllis (Russ) Eskeli. He was the eldest of five children, and always loved to be the leader of the pack. Dan enjoyed causing mischief, harmonizing to church hymns, and meeting new people. Those who loved him will remember his infectious laugh, his deep devotion to this family, and his passion for flannel.

In rest, he joins his parents, his best friend Jim Heiser, and his youngest brother Timothy Eskeli. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Michell (Balmforth) Eskeli, his four children, Matthew and his fiance Leia, Rahiem, Kendyl, and Austin. He also leaves his brothers, Phillip and Michael Eskeli, his sister Amy Jamison and sister-in-law Jean Eskeli.

A graduate of SUNY Potsdam, Dan worked in the computer field. He finished his career working for EMC/Dell, Hopkinton.

He was surrounded by his family at the time of his death. His faith assured him that in leaving this world, he was gaining access to a great kingdom. Someday he will meet his wife on the South Side of the Sky. Until that day, he will play pitch, fish, and watch over his loved ones with joy.

Dan will be celebrated this Saturday, June 30, 2018, at his Church, Slatersville Congregational Church at 25 Green St., Slatersville, RI. Visiting hours will be held from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM followed by a service at 11:30 AM and a subsequent collation. Memorial contributions may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.

"""there is a pennant race"" - was the last thing I remember Dan said to me! As Dan's dentist, I enjoyed talking to him about life in general, but especially about baseball. His positive energy is contagious, and I just enjoyed seeing him and talking to him - even if I have to fix his teeth! My deepest condolence to Michelle and your family."

"I'm so sorry for your loss. I'd like to share some real hope with you. In Psalms 146:4 tells the condition of the dead. In John 5:28-29 the bible promises a resurrection of our loved ones back to earth. When Jesus resurrected Lazarus from the dead, he brought him back to earth. He's going to do that on a much larger scale in the future. In Psalms 37:11+29 says man will live forever on the earth in peace. That was God's original purpose, for man to live forever in the garden of eden. God's purpose hasn't changed. In Isaiah 45:18 says God created the earth to be inhabited. That's why he gave his son to die for us, John 3:16. so we could have everlasting life on earth. In Revelation 21:4 says there'll be no more pain or death. Since there's no pain or death in heaven, those are future conditions on earth under God's kingdom arrangement. JW.org. "

"I remember Dan's love of music. Didn't matter what kind. He'd listen. He sang in the choir , he went to all the marching band performances , regardless of the weather. He always had the radioon or he was always whistling. But I know his true love was the bass guitar. There are too many ""loves"" to list here. But I will always cherish ALL the beautiful memories of Dan."
