Maurice R. Dubois

Maurice R. Dubois, 71, of Narragansett, died Saturday, February 18, 2017 in South County Hospital. He was the husband of Violet L. (Barry) Dubois, whom he married May 30, 1966. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Roger and Madeleine (Desplaines) Dubois.



Maurice was a 1964 graduate of Woonsocket High School. Maurice served in the Army with the 118th Engineering Battalion. He was a salesman for Nelson Small, Choquette Distributors, and was previously a manager at Save-Rite. Maurice was a member of the Woonsocket Lodge of Elks and the RI Ford Club. He served on the Cub Scout Committee at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church and was a Bernon Baseball Little League coach. Maurice was a car enthusiast.



Besides his wife Violet, he leaves their sons, Kenneth M. Dubois and his wife, Tracy, of Mapleville; and Kevin J. Dubois and his wife, Celeste, of Bristol; and three grandchildren; Olivia, Julia, and Jameson. He was predeceased by his sister, Pauline Dubois.





His funeral will be held Friday, February 24, 2017 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 1409 Park Avenue, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005 Boston, MA 02241-7005, the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, Donor Services
