Maurice "Frog" Peloquin
October 2, 2016

Maurice E. Frog Peloquin, 81, of Woonsocket, passed away peaceful while surrounded by his family on Sunday, October 2, 2016 in the Providence VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Noclain) Peloquin, whom he was married to for 52 years. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Adelard and Laurette (Vadeboncoeur) Peloquin.



Maurice owned and operated a route for the Bachman Co. for 22 years. He had previously worked for Leos Pastries and OP French Roofing. Maurice was a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and the DAV, and was a member of the Elks Lodge #850 and American Legion. Maurice was an avid Cleveland Indians fans and also enjoyed walking in the Autumnfest Parade as the Bachman Jax Rabbit.



Besides his wife, he leaves their children, Christopher Peloquin and his wife JoAnn (Roy) of Pennsylvania and Carol Peloquin of Riverside, RI; his only grandchild, Rebecca Peloquin of Pennsylvania; his brother, Benny Peloquin of Pennsylvania; his sister, Lorraine DOliveira of East Providence and several nieces, nephews and loving Godchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Norman Peloquin and three sisters, Lillian Peloquin, Jeanne dArk Peloquin and Dolores LaBonte.



A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 10 AM in All Saints Parish, 323 Rathbun St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4-7 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, RI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the VA Medical Center-Voluntary Services, 830 Chalkstone Ave., Providence, RI 02908. The family is very thankful for the care, attention and comforting environment that was offered to not only to the family but Maurice as well. Check may be made payable to VA Medical Center.
