Dorothy Anez, 100, of North Smithfield passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 at the St. Antoine Residence. The daughter of the late Henry and Madeline LeMasurier. She was predeceased by her husband of over 70 years, Louis Anez, in 2012.
Dorothy was an avid hobbyist. She engaged in sewing, crocheting, knitting, refinishing furniture and received many compliments for her paintings and creativity. She took pleasure in her friendships and the comfort of home and family.
Above all she was a devoted wife and mother. Dorothy is survived by two sons, Bruce Anez and his wife Laura of Little Silver, NJ; and Richard Anez and his wife Joyce of North Smithfield; a daughter, Phyllis DeDentro and her husband Daniel of North Smithfield and a granddaughter, Susan Trombly and her husband Walter of No. Smithfield.
A private ceremony was held on August 1, 2016, in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers friends are asked to donate to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation, P.O. Box 515, Northampton, MA 01061.
