WOONSOCKET - Maureen H. (Lovely) McArthur, 79, died June 4, 2015 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Joseph D. McArthur. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late George and Dorothy (Lithego) Lovely.Mrs. McArthur last worked as a dietary aide for the Wrentham Development Center, formerly Wrentham State School prior to retiring in 1998. Maureen was a communicant of All Saints Church and formerly a member of the Valley Singers. She loved knitting and enjoyed spending time at the Woonsocket Senior Center. She is survived by her five sons, Joseph McArthur and his wife Cindy of Newtown, CT, Dennis McArthur and his wife Donna of Northboro, MA, John Michael McArthur and his wife Colleen of Douglas, MA, Edward P. McArthur of Woonsocket, and Terrance McArthur of Taunton, MA; two daughters, Mary-Lou Bressan of Johnston, and Loreen Thifault and her husband Kenneth of Woonsocket who were her primary care providers and with whom she lived the past fifteen years; two sisters, Beatrice Delamare of Smithfield, and Patricia Barboza of Lincoln; thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Frances Wyrostek and Jane Edwards.Her funeral will be held Monday, June 8, 2015 at 10 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in All Saints Community Church, 323 Rathbun Street, Woonsocket. Burial will be held at a later date.
