NORTH SMITHFIELD - Bruce D. Boucher, 44, of Greenville Rd., died unexpectedly on May 11, 2015. He was the cherished husband of Nicole (Nadeau) Boucher whom he married September 16, 1995. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of Normand Boucher of North Smithfield and the late Lise T. (Simoneau) Boucher.A 1989 graduate of Woonsocket High School, Bruce worked as a General Superintendent for Tara Construction in Boston, MA, owned Granite Hill Property Management, and was a member of the Local 33 Carpenters Union. He was a longtime hockey coach for both the Woonsocket North Stars and the RI Saints, as well as a baseball coach for the North Smithfield Little League. In addition to his wife and father, Bruce is survived by his two beloved sons, Riley and Nolan Boucher; two brothers, Pierre Boucher of Woonsocket and Brian Boucher of Haddonfield, NJ; a sister, Manon St. Germain of Bangor, ME, as well as several nieces, nephews and godchildren. Bruce was a devoted family man who lit up the room with his enthusiastic personality. He was a caring, big-hearted, gentle giant with an infectious sense of humor. Truly devoted to his late mother, he will be fondly remembered as the quintessential ""Momma's boy."" He was a hero to his boys, and the love of Nicole's life. Bruce will be forever cherished and admired for his loving nature, his laughter, and his selflessness.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 10 AM in St. John Vianney Church, 3587 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 314 Wrentham Road, Bellingham, MA. Calling hours are Friday from 5 - 8 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket.
