Patricia A. Wilson, 73, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021. She was born August 14, 1948, in Petersburg to Royal Stanton and and Thelma (Huffman) Melvin. On May 4, 1991, she married Joseph Wilson, and he survives.
Patricia was a homemaker and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved cooking and tending to her flowers. She loved her faithful canine companion, Jagger.
Those who now mourn Patricia's passing include her husband, Joe Wilson of Washington; her children, Josh Wilson of Sheridan, Caleb Wilson of Petersburg, Elizabeth (Jonathan) Walsh of Jasper, Brian Cowan, and David Lee Cowan of Jasper. Patricia was blessed with ten grandchildren: Julian Wilson, Vivian Walsh, Emma Bailey, Brody Bailey, Harvey Wilson, Tucker Wilson, Chad Cowan, Lylianah Cowan, Ryley Cowan, and Avelyn Cowan. She leaves her siblings: Mike (Dolly) Melvin of Petersburg, Tom Melvin of Stendal, Sarah Kay Goemahe in Florida, Bob Melvin, and Linda Sue Melvin of Bloomington.
During her lifetime, Patricia mourned the loss of her parents, Royal and Thelma Melvin; and her brother, Bill Melvin.
Visitation for Patricia Wilson will be held at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, North Chapel, 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington, Indiana, October 2, 2021, 10:00 am-12:00 noon. The funeral will be held immediately following the visitation, also at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, North Chapel, at 12:00 noon. Pastor Jarod K. Henry will officiate.
Interment will be in the Bethel Cemetery.
