In loving memory of

Cheryl Ann Jones
August 8, 1979 - September 20, 2021

Cheryl Ann Jones, 42, of Kyle, Texas passed away in Austin, Texas on September 20, 2021. She was born on August 8, 1979 in Mountain Home, Idaho. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Kevin and their three beautiful daughters, Zoey, Heidi, and Carleigh.
Born to Robert Jesse McClelen, Sr. and Elizabeth Ellen McClelen, Cheryl and her family moved to San Antonio, Texas when she was six months old. She later spent time in foster care, and was raised by loving foster parents David and Susan Howell. Mentor Scott Ackerson from The Casey Family Program was also a positive influence in her life.

Always an animal lover, Cheryl took great pride in her work as a veterinary technician. She cared for a variety of pets and their humans at Town & Country Veterinary Hospital in San Antonio, Love Animal Hospital in Austin, and Kyle Animal Hospital in Kyle. She was known to bring home stray dogs and cats, and was a resource to her family and friends on all things pet care.

Cheryl met Kevin after a friend used her AOL account to message him, and they decided to meet for a date. They married at Randolph Air Force Base on September 30, 2006. She was a stunning bride, and a devoted wife to Kevin. She was proud to be a police officer's wife, and vehemently supported law enforcement and first responders.

She hung up her veterinary scrubs in 2012, shortly before the birth of her youngest daughter. Being a mother to twins Zoey and Heidi, and little Carleigh was Cheryl's greatest passion and joy. She loved her family beyond measure, and she worked hard to make their home a place where children could thrive and friends could gather. Spending time at the beach with friends and family was her favorite pastime.

Cheryl's parents, the McClelens preceded her in death.

In addition to Kevin and their daughters, Cheryl is survived by her siblings Brenda Givens, Robert, Brian McClelen, Chrissy Martinez, Ilyana Martinez, Laura Martinez, and their families; mother-in-law Heidi Jones; brothers-in-law Norm Jones, Randy Jones, and their families; and numerous friends with whom she shared so many memories.

Flowers may ordered for the Memorial Service, or, in lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Austin Cops for Charities (www.austinc4c.com)
