Jess John Herrera, a longtime resident of Dos Palos passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021 in Merced, California. He was 88.
Jess was born December 25, 1932 in Los Banos, California. Jess was raised in Dos Palos and graduated from the Dos Palos Highschool. He joined the US Army in 1953 where he became a sergeant. He was a farmer for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his spouse Mary Lou Herrera.
Jess is survived by his three children: Jess Herrera Jr., Cynthia Cole and Patricia Raper, five grandchildren and many family and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 at the Dos Palos Cemetery District at 11:00 am.
