In loving memory of

Julie Hunt
June 12, 1966 - September 4, 2021

Julie arrived June 12, 1966, while our family of six was living in Nampa, Idaho. She would always be the youngest child of Bill and Mary Lou Meehan, and baby sister to Marla, Colleen, and Michael. The Meehan family would shortly move back to Southern California during her first summer when our father, Bill Meehan was called to pastor his second Friends Church in Anaheim, CA. We lived 2 blocks from Disneyland and next door to the church. We met lifelong friends there and were close enough to see our grandparents frequently. Julie lived her early childhood and early school years there attending Palm Lane Elementary School with our brother Michael. She was curious and happy. During these years her love of the beach, traveling, and camping began. She was little but vocal from the start. I can still hear her saying, "Are we there yet?" over and over as we drove.

In 1973, the Meehan's moved from Anaheim to Arcadia, CA to begin pastoring the Friends Church there. Julie spent 4 more years of elementary school attending Rio Hondo School just down the street. She made friends and was active and very social. Attending church and its activities kept her occupied and very busy. She shared a bedroom with her two older sisters, Marla and Colleen who were in high school at the time.

After spending 14 years in ministry, our Dad needed a break from pastoring. There had been several difficult situations during that period. God led our parents back to their roots in Yorba Linda in the summer of 1977. Dad began working in the golf course construction field. Mom was raised in Yorba Linda Friends and when Dad became a Christian, that is where he attended as well as his mother and sister. Our grandparents, LaVerne and Mary Page helped to begin Rose Drive Friends when they held Sunday worship services in their living room. Once moved back to Orange County, Mom and Dad began attending Brea-Olinda Friends. These were years that shaped Julie's faith through the rest of grade school through high school. She attended Sunday School, Youth Group and Quaker Meadow Camp. She always made friends, who meant the world to her, in the neighborhood and at church I know this because she told me all about each one, in detail! During this time period, Julie also learned to love little children by working in the church nursery and babysitting for many families. She attended Esperanza High School graduating in 1984. She worked as a preschool teacher and had lots of fun dancing at the lighthouse with her friends. On July 18, 1987 Julie married Brian Hunt, during there 34 years they loved to camp for their annual trip to Bridgeport, CA and Julie's "Happy spot" in San Diego at the mission bay rv resort. She was one not to shy away from Laughlin Arizona, where she loved the water and could swing a mean one arm bandit. Out of her marriage she had three beautiful children LinnDee, Sean and Haley. Gained a son-in-law Scott (married to LinnDee), and daughter-in-law Jamie (married to Sean) and a very steady boyfriend Ryan (dating Haley). Then in 2017 she became a grandma for the first time when Abigail Renee Frisbie was born then again in 2019 when Emilia Rose Frisbie came into this world. Julie work for years as a preschool teacher for Little Friends than work in the lunch program at the Friends Christian Middle School campus. Julie was a big part in her and Brian's business that allowed her to retire from friends to take care of here granddaughters. She touched so may life's in her daily walk with the lord, the girl could talk. Julie prayed each and every night for her kids and family to become children of God. Julie will be missed by all, but never forgotten that she is now in heaven with her mom and dad.
