Eliott Anthony Edwards-Norfleet was born on May 21, 1990 in Los Angeles, California, from the union of Arnold and Stephanie Edwards-Norfleet. He was the youngest of their two children. At the age of five, per Elliot's request, he was baptized by his grandfather, Sellie Edwards, at St. Reed Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles. In his younger years, Elliot was known as "Preacher Man." His gift of reciting bible verses and scriptures often awed those within his presence.
Eliott graduated from Mission Hills High School in San Marcos, California where he was known by many names. Due to his entrepreneurial spirit, Elliot would purchase candy wholesale and sell it to his peers, friends, and anyone who would enjoy his sweet selections; this earned him the nickname "Candyman." Eliott was a protector of those who would be bullied (this gave him permission to bully the bullies); thus, his trusted friends commonly referred to him as "Big EL." Eliott continued his studies at Palomar College in San Diego, California, with an emphasis in EMS Fire Training.
Elliot excelled as a car sales representative at Del Mar Imports. He could charm the venom out of a snake with his good looks and his huge, genuine smile. Additionally, Elliot worked as a personal fitness trainer at LA Fitness. Much like his father, Eliott had a gift with numbers at an early age. Some would say he, too, was a mathematical genius as he eagerly helped family children with their math homework. His volunteer services included working with Nonprofit Management Institute, Inc. as a youth facilitator for World AIDS Day for over 10 years.
Eliott loved sports and he played on traveling basketball teams at a very young age. His favorite sports teams were the Los Angeles Clippers, San Diego Padres, and San Francisco 49ers. He gave much of his time, as a caregiver, to his devoted father, Arnold Norfleet, and his loving grandmother, Estell Edwards, affectionately known as Mom. His big sister, E-Bijan, was his trusted and best friend...truly the love of his life. Eliott's love was his baby girl, Kaelani Nevaeh. And most recently, his greatest joy was video chatting with his beautiful and beloved niece, Amber Bier. He was the protective little/big brother as well to Tára, his god sister.
Eliott departed this life on September 6, 2021 at the young age of 31. The Lord's angel came and bore the loving and compassionate spirit of Eliott home to join his father, Arnold Norfleet, and his grandparents, Viola and Mance Norfleet, who preceded him in death. Left to share his cherished memories of love and kindness are his beloved and devoted mother, Stephanie Edwards-Norfleet; sister, E-Bijan Estelle Bier; daughter Kaelani Nevaeh; niece, Amber Bier; grandparents, Sellie and Estell Edwards; a host of aunts and uncles: Letinza (and Willie) London, Colette Edwards, Colleen Edwards, Eddie Edwards, Ronald Norfleet, Geneva (and Horace) Chappel-Houston; multiple loving cousins: Mcristle London, Kimon Ross, Nichole Cobbs, Nyesha Chappel, Asija Chappel, Carlotta Chappel, Valerie Edwards, Danielle Edwards, Maria Trujillo, George Perez, Stephanie Perez, and Jennifer Marsh; Godsister, Tara Ingram-Davis; as well as a host of beautiful relatives and amazing friends. Blessed by Eliott's spirit, love, charisma and charm, his family and many friends will miss him ever so dearly.
