John M. Kudron

John M. Kudron, 86, of Summerfield, Florida passed away Monday, August 16, 2021.
Funeral Services will be on Friday, September 17, 2021, at 1 pm at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Dodge.
John Michael Kudron was born January 11, 1935 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Steve and Ida (Lichanec) Kudron. He was raised in Fort Dodge with his two sisters, Adella and Tilley, and four brothers, Stephen, Frank, Joe, and Mike. After graduating from Fort Dodge High School in 1953, he attended Fort Dodge Junior College (Iowa Central Community College), and then graduated with a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Dubuque.
John was a high school English teacher and coach for several years before changing careers to work in sales and management in the roofing Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home & Cremation Services
In October of 1979 he married Joyce Aukes. During their almost 43 years of marriage the couple traveled extensively, enjoyed attending Florida State University football games, golfing, and spending time with numerous friends and family.
John had three children from a previous marriage, John II, Laurie, and Stephanie. John is survived by his wife Joyce, children Laurie (Dave) Briden of Van Meter, IA, Stephanie Barnett of West Des Moines, IA, stepchildren Jean (Steve) Wilcox of Atlantic, IA, Jeff (Annette) Rust of Littleton, CO, nine grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, son John M. Kudron II, grandson John M. Kudron III, and son-in-law Dennis Barnett.
John and Joyce retired to Summerfield, FL in 2000. John lit up the room with his laughter and stories. He wanted everyone to know that his life has been a great and wonderful adventure.
