In loving memory of

Vincent Edward Engle
December 12, 1963 - September 11, 2021

Vincent E. Engle, age 57, of Fairmount, IN, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, IN.

He was the son of the late Larry D. Engle and surviving mother Sandra (Skinner) Engle, Fairmount. He was born in Marion, Indiana on December 12, 1963. Vincent graduated from Madison-Grant High School in 1982. He left Fairmount to pursue his music passion in New York. He was a guitarist and vocalist for East of Fairmount. He returned to Fairmount to settle down and watch his sons grow up. When he was not playing his guitar, he was either riding his Harley or hanging out with his sons: from watching them play sports over the years to golfing with them. He was an avid supporter of the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, and Indiana basketball. He loved pleasant days on the back porch with his mom and sister singing tunes, watching birds, and feeding his good friend "Chippy" the chipmunk. He was so proud of his sons and the pursuits of their doctorate degrees in dentistry and audiology.

Left to cherish his memory are his two son's: Austin Engle, Westfield, and Griffin Engle, Indianapolis; mother, Sandra S. Engle; sister, Jody Spahr; aunts Barbara Engle, Jayne Skinner, and Sheila Voight, Kentucky; uncle, John Voight, Kentucky; nephew, Sidney Spahr; niece, Larra (Allen) Harrison; great-nephew, Evan Spahr; great-niece, Emmaleigh Lloyd; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry D. Engle.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 South Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana where private services will be held. Interment will be at Park Cemetery in Fairmount.

Vincent was able to help others through tissue donation. If you would like to make a donation in memory of Vincent please make it to the Indiana Donor Network, 3760 Guion Road, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46222, or in care of the funeral home.

"I?ll never forget the Christmas that Vince showed up at our door to sing Christmas carols. He came in the house, sat down, played guitar, and sang. I?m not sure what year it was or how old I was, but I remember sitting on our stairs, in my house , in my pajamas and being in awe.. He didn?t just come to our house, he was going door to door but I thought it was special that he stopped at our door. We thought it was so cool. I was not a close friend but I knew he was very talented and had a big heart. I always kept up with him thanks to social media. He always said kind things to me. I?m so sorry for your loss.. My heart aches for your family. I?m thinking of you all in this very difficult time. -Charisse ?Fox?. Williams "
