Harvey Martinez Ridley
June 25, 1945 - September 5, 2021

God presented a blessing on June 27, 1945. Harvey Martinez Ridley was born and delivered to the Boyce Lee Richards, he was the second child o high wonderful siblings. He met the love of his life Vickie Renee Davis in 1982. They ha a long lasting relationship, a special bond and friendship for 41 years.

Harvey was affectionately names Popcorn vy hi family an called Coach by his friends and children; he coached football for Valencia Park Pop Warner League. He had an outgoing personality; his own unique and conservative style of dress. Harvey will be remembered for his specific famous and repeated quote "See what I'm saying!"

Harvey loved Jazz; Western movies, sports; his favorite team was the San Diego Chargers. Coaching was his passion and enjoyed singing in the church choir at New Assurance Baptist Church under the Leadership of the late Pastor Ricky Lassiter.

Harvey (Popcorn) was honored with three adorable children George Martinez Ridley; David Ridley and Judith Ridley. He had five close friends and special brothers Roy Lee Gibson; Roy Hempstead; Johnny Mills; Vernon Parish and Gary Wheeler all of whom will miss him tremendously. Harvey enjoyed working construction, he was employed at Pippers Plumbing; Pacific Southern Airlines; National Steel and Hoss Construction. His hobby was selling candy in the neighborhood and he was adored by his many dedicated customers.

Harvey was preceded in death by his mother Boyce Lee Richards. He leaves to cherish his memory wife Vickie Davis; siblings Annie Warren; Ernest Ridley; Angelina Jackson; Griffen Warren; Joe Brown; Rudolph Ridley and Wydell Ridley; children George, David and Judith Nudity Ridley and a host of family and friends.
