Santiago Gonzalez, a retired General Motors aka Nummi Assembly worker, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, September 9, 2021.
Santiago's legacy lives on through his four children; Renita Miller, Deborah Tigh, Sebastian Gonzalez and Carmen Tienda. Seven Grandchildren: Leonard, Leticia, James, Ryan, Ruben, Lydia and Carlos. Along with 17 Great Grandchildren.
Santiago was born in San Diego, Ca in 1940, married the love of his life Rita in 1959 at the age of 18 in Denver Colorado. They were married 49 years before she went home to Jesus. Santiago had the best sense of humor, he was intelligent, creative, and extremely social. He was a self-taught carpenter, mechanic, plumber, and electrician. His passion was fishing along with riding his Harley up until his retirement. He loved reading the Bible, listening to music, dancing, joking around and traveling to spend time with his children.
Celebration of life is scheduled for 9 am on Wednesday, September 15th, 2021 at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 E Bell Rd, Scottsdale AZ.
