"My sincere condolences to you and your family, Morris (Clayton, but always Morris to me and other JFK grads!). I did not know your mother, but am very grateful for your family's roots in the Word of God and the lives your mother and father have lived out for you. I am thinking of and praying for you and your family this morning, and reflecting back on a late-winter afternoon in 1976 when you shared the Gospel with me in Florida. I am indeed sorry for your loss and hope that you, your Dad, and your family are celebrating good memories of your Mom this week. I am thankful for the Truth your Mom imparted to you, and you, in turn imparted to others like me. Kind Regards, Bill Oates "

"I was very sorry to read about Jackie's loss, though we know that she is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior. My husband, Bob Dye, is in Heaven as well, and we knew Pastor Ed and Jackie for many years. I'm now in Texas with my twin sister, Carol Best, whose husband Dick is also in Heaven, and we've been living together since the pandemic started in 2020. We share our time between here and Iowa. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family. Love, Coral Dye"

"Aunt Jackie was definitely a Proverbs 31 wife and mother! She wore many hats during her life. While my mother was sick she opened her heart and home to care for me.??"

"My childhood was so enriched by the love and compassion of Jackie. Her example of a Godly woman, helpmate to Pastor Ed and a beautiful mother to her children was the template I wanted for my life! I watched her make coffee for her many visitors and sit with them at the table with Bible open. From the perspective of a child, Jackie demonstrated unconditional love to so many. Her gentleness and warmth will always be remembered. Praying for Ed and the Bateman families at this time of separation from their precious Jackie. Our comfort is knowing she is with her Savior."

"My thoughts and prayers are with Jacque and Ed. I became a Christian through Ed's talk with me. Jacque was always right there with Ed. Such a wonderful woman and Pastor. May God bless Ed and the family through this time. Jacque is right there with the angels now. I am so thankful for both of them. The verses in the obituary exemplified Jacque. Such a Godly woman!"
