Ames Everson, 65 of Glenwood, IA passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Blufffs, IA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 13, 2021 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Carson. Burial will be in the Carson Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 12, 2021. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Carson is caring for Ames and his family.

Ames Patrick Everson, 65 of Glenwood, IA, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA.
Ames was born on May 27, 1956 in Council Bluffs, the son of Patricia Ann (Wick) and Charles Everson. Ames graduated from high school and was employed as an auto mechanic. He has lived in Glenwood since 2002.
Ames and Antoinette Sarah Kurt were united in marriage on January 15, 1977 in Council Bluffs. They were blessed with two children, Sarah and Patrick.
Ames enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and dirt bikes, boating, and snowmobiling. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles, woodworking and working with his hands. Ames loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends.
Ames was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Andrew and Adam.
Ames is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Netty of Glenwood; daughter Sarah (Robert) Escritt of Emerson, IA; son Patrick (Manda) Everson of Omaha, NE; two precious granddaughters, Grace and Savannah; siblings, Angela (Glen) Jordan of Casey, IA, Alan (Joanne) Kephart of Louisville, NE, Aaron (Jennifer) Hiatt of Omaha, Kimberly Davis of Lake City, IA, and Evelyn Uhl of Council Bluffs; other relatives; and a host of friends.
