"I like to remember fun fond memories of Uncle Sonny aka my Uncle Dodo. I always called him Uncle Dodo when others called him Uncle Sonny. I finally asked mom one day and she said he called me a little dodo bird when I was born. I had a head full of hair stood strait up, so he would affectionally call me his little Dodo and name always stuck! I remember his blue Jean Daisy dukes, boots and his laugh. I thank God he had a long happy life! He never wanted anything but to be happy! He told me be happy and life will fall in place! He always knew I towed the line and would joke that I had arrest warrant to go to jail due to parking tickets (I did have them)!) but he was a strong usually quiet man who could make you laugh on your worst day. When he had serious conversations with me he would say be HAPPY and rest will follow!! My Prayers are to you all! I know he will look down and keep watching his family with that loving scowl that would all sudden be big smile! I wish I was with you all and I?m so sorry not to be! Just know my heart is there with you all! God bless you and his quiet presence and wisdom and thank you Uncle Dodo for knowing just when I needed you! Rest In Peace! Love, Darenda aka your little dodo bird"
