November 17, 1987 - September 6, 2021

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Algona and will be live-streamed on Trinity Lutheran Church's Youtube page. https://youtu.be/0qdUKwkAlrE Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church Life Center. Interment will be in Plainview Cemetery in Whittemore.

Randy Dean Meyer, the son of Rod and Ellen (Meyer) Meyer was born in Emmetsburg, Iowa on November 17, 1987. He grew up on the family farm near Whittemore and graduated from Algona High School in 2006. He went on to Iowa Lakes Community College in Emmetsburg for small engine repair. During high school, Randy worked for Ruhnke Brother's in Algona and after graduating from college, he began farming with his dad and started a Manure Pumping Business.

He was united in marriage on July 26, 2014, to Janae Tyler at Trinity Lutheran Church in Algona. Together they had 2 children; Riley and Everly.

Randy loved spending time with his family and friends especially his children and wife Janae. He was a father that would do anything that his children asked of him. He enjoyed dirt biking, riding motorcycles, water sports, and fishing. He also enjoyed vacationing, snowmobiling, and hunting. Randy was a family man and loved being around people.

Randy died September 6, 2021, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City as a result of a farming accident. He was 33.

He is survived by his wife, Janae of Whittemore; son, Riley; daughter, Everly; stepchildren, Jayda Roethler and Porter Reffer; parents, Rod and Ellen Meyer of Whittemore; sisters, Mandy (Kurt) Oetken of Ankeny and Alisha (Dan) Grimm of Grimes; 1 niece and 5 nephews; mother-in-law, Cheryl Johnson, and many friends.

Randy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elvin and Eleanor Meyer, paternal grandparents, Ron and Betty Meyer, and aunt and uncle, Elaine and Steven Eckard.
