Ivy Joan Foreman
Canton - Ivy Joan Foreman, 82, of Canton passed away at 7:46 am Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at the Graham Hospital in Canton surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 8, 1939 in Honolulu, HI to Bessie Freitas and Ivan Winship. Ivy was one of three daughters that were separated after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Her sisters' names are Sandra and Dorothy. Ivy married Gerald R. Foreman Sr. on September 9, 1959. He preceded her in death on October 3, 2017.
Surviving are three children; Brandy (Harry) Walters, Gerald R. (Renae) Foreman Jr both of Canton and Delmas Foreman II, three grandchildren; Jacob, Marisa and Madison and five grand fur babies; Max, Miya, Wrigley, Ellie and Zelda (who she loved almost as much as her family).
Ivy worked at Graham Hospital as a ward clerk and later co-owned Video's Unlimited in Canton. In her earlier years, she was an avid bowler and loved to hunt mushrooms and play cards with her friends. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy and she never tired of talking about them.
Cremation rites have been accorded, per her request, and there will be no services. In lieu of services, her ashes will be reunited with her mother in Hawaii at a later date.
