Viola M. Becker, 93, of Fort Dodge passed away Monday, August 30, 2021 at the Marian Home.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family.
Viola is survived by her children, Kevin (Penny) Becker of Fort Dodge and Kent Becker of Fort Dodge; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Timmie (Ballard) Strohschoen, husband, Darrell Becker; siblings, Fred Good, Mable Kruse, Helen Alexander, Emma Armstrong, Francis Schomberg, and an infant sister.
Viola Mae Strohschoen was born May 6, 1928 in Fort Dodge. She was raised and educated in Fort Dodge; graduating from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1945. She then attended Tobin Business College. On May 9, 1947, Viola was united in marriage to Darrell Becker and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. For a number of years, Viola worked at the Boston Store and Stan's Hallmark. In 1987, she retired from Joselyn Office Supply. She is a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Viola and Darrell owned and operated Grandpa's Crafts for many years.
