Glen Richard Aldag
September 20, 1950 - August 25, 2021

Glen Richard Aldag was born on September 20, 1950, to Kenneth and Erna Mae (Keesling) Aldag in Denison, Iowa. He was baptized and later confirmed his faith at Faith Lutheran Church in Deloit. He graduated from Denison High School with the class of 1969. Following high school, Glen enlisted in the United States Navy. Following his active service, he moved back to the Deloit area and helped his father farm. He then enlisted into the Air National Guard and he served 27 honorable years, with several tours, and retired in 2002. He also worked at Hardee's and Farmland for many years. Glen married Gloria McKercher on August 1, 1992, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sioux City, Iowa.

Glen was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Deloit. He went to church every Sunday and always made sure his children were also active with the church as they grew up. He held many offices within the church. He enjoyed local activities, especially sports. He loved classic and western movies. He also enjoyed reading western books. He enjoyed purchasing things from local auctions and spending time at the sale barn. Glen loved to play cards and spend time with family.

Glen passed away surrounded by his family at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital on August 25, 2021, at the age of 70 years, 11 months and five days.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents and his wife: Gloria Aldag. He is survived by his two children: Adam (Victoria) McKercher of Phoenix, Arizona and Sarah Aldag (Keegan Bengford) of Ida Grove; granddaughter: Grace Bengford; siblings: Gene (Rebecca) Aldag and Judy (Duane) Krause all of Columbus, Nebraska and Cindy (David) Gray of Deloit; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A prayer service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, August 30, 2021, with the visitation to follow from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. all at the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison, Iowa. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at the Faith Lutheran Church in Deloit. Memorials may be directed to the family.
