In loving memory of

Jessica "Jake" Fuller
May 5, 1978 - August 25, 2021

Jessica Jean Fuller (known to many as Jake) 43, of Lewiston, died Wednesday, August 25, 2021. Like always, she was stubborn as a mule and joining the angels was no different after battling a disease that could not be diagnosed. She was a fighter, the strongest woman most people know, and an inspiration to many after beating Non-Hodgkins Double Hit Lymphoma, thriving in remission for three blessed years.
Jake was born May 5, 1978, in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Ronald Westphal, Sr. and Rhonda (Lange) Westphal. She graduated from Lewiston-Altura High School in 1996. Jake served in the Army National Guard from 1995-2001 as a Personal Record Specialist. Jake worked as a nursing assistant at nursing homes before beginning her 20-year Olmsted Medical Center career in Rochester, most recently as Business Analyst. On October 26, 2002, she married the love of her life, Keenan Fuller. She was a member of the Lewiston Cancer Support Group and the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
Jake loved being outdoors, especially gardening and riding motorcycle. A day of wind therapy with Keenan was a great escape for her. Jake was always up for a trip and traveling, having went to Jamaica, Niagara Falls, and many states. She enjoyed working with Keenan on making woodworking signs, photographing flowers and sunrise/sets, and enjoying her time at their log cabin home. She enjoyed canning and baking, but of utmost importance to her, was her family. She truly loved being a mom to her three children - Tristin, Mikaylee and Hunter. There will continue to be a family joke about her forth child, Layla, their chocolate lab. Being a Cinco de Mayo baby, Jake loved her Chipotle veggie bowls with the works.
While Jake endured neurological decline and doctors helplessly found normal tests results, with no textbook to read on her condition, she continued to reassure all, "Everything is going to be okay." The hardest thing in her life she had to do, was allow herself to stop fighting to be here with us. Jake's last days were flooded with those who love her.
Jake is survived by her loving husband, Keenan; children, Tristin (Halle) Brand, Mikaylee Fuller and Hunter Fuller; parents, Ronald and Rhonda Westphal; brother, Ronald Westphal, Jr.; sister, Michelle (Korey) Holtan; brother-in-law, Kyle (Tricia) Fuller; nieces and nephews, Kamrynn Westphal, Kendra & Gavin Holtan, Vance, Mya & Grady Fuller; mother-in-law, Luana (Tom) Koenig; father-in-law, Wynn (Diane) Fuller and grandmothers, Anna Blaskowski and Cindy Fuller.
She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Misty Westphal and grandparents, Orville Lange, Marilee Westphal, Gene Fuller and Larry Edwards.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service - St. Charles, led by Funeral Celebrant Jodi Heim. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday all at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Lewiston Public Cemetery. "Keenan and Family, Ron Sr. and Rhonda & Ron Jr. , My heart is heavy with the passing of such an amazing lady and friend. Jake\'s spunk and fun loving personality will be missed by so many. She was always looking at the positive side of things and never wanted anyone to worry about her. She was willing to fight no matter what and always put her family first. As we went thru our cancer treatments together, she taught me how to advocate for myself and wake up everyday thankful for everything. She is now free of all that pain. Jake will always be my cancer warrior friend, and I will never forget that? Until we meet again, fly high beautiful. Love, Angela Christie"

"Jake-Thinking of when I came by your home to get your enlistment information. As I got to know you and you shared your family and life happenings with me, I came to see how your parents love for each other and you kids formed the person you grew into. Loving mom, loving wife, great daughter, sister, and friend. I didn?t see you every month at drill like I did a lot of my enlistments being you drilled in the cities, but those times you split in Winona and helped out there, were great. I am so blessed to have been able to keep in touch with you as you did life-You loved big and were loved by all who knew you. To your entire family-praying for God to hold you all especially close and comfort you in your loss. "

We breathe, briefly. Our eyes, briefly,? see with? a hurtful clarity.? Our memory, suddenly sharpened,? examines,? gnaws on kind words? unsaid,? promised walks? never taken.? Great souls die and? our reality, bound to? them, takes leave of us.? Our souls,? dependent upon their? nurture,? now shrink, wizened.? Our minds, formed? and informed by their? radiance,?fall away.? We are not so much maddened? as reduced to the unutterable ignorance?of dark, cold? caves.?? And when great souls die,? after a period peace blooms,? slowly and always? irregularly. Spaces fill? with a kind of? soothing electric vibration.? Our senses, restored, never? to be the same, whisper to us.? They existed. They existed.? We can be. Be and be? better. For they existed. ?
