John Zych
April 18, 1947 - August 23, 2021

John Zych, 74 of Glenwood, IA passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 at the Glen Haven Village in Glenwood. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Glenwood Ward. Visitation with family present will be held at the church one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood is caring for John and his family.

John Joe Zych, son of John and Juanita (Davenport) Zych was born April 18, 1947 in Omaha, NE. John worked at Grape Community Hospital in Hamburg as a surgical aide for many years. He then worked with Frank Rash at Rash Funeral Home as funeral assistant helping out with various jobs around the funeral home.
John was an avid collector of stamps, he was not a stranger to anyone and enjoyed his coffee time with his friends at McDonald's; most of all he enjoyed spending time with his "sis".
John is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Vanderpool; nephew, Kevin Hillhouse.
John is survived by his sister, Sharon Hillhouse and her husband, Lyle of Glenwood, IA; niece, Julie Kay Hillhouse of Clarinda, IA; other relatives and a host of many special friends.
