Joyce Sievert
June 21, 1933 - August 18, 2021

Joyce B. Sievert, 88 of Utica, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Benedictine - St. Anne in Winona. Joyce was born on June 21, 1933 in Rushford to Eli and Sadie (Hawkinson) Glenna. Joyce graduated from the Vo-Tech's cosmetology program. She married Russel Denzer, had 6 children together and lived in Minnesota City. They later divorced. She married Leland Rain, had 1 child and lived in California. They later divorced. On June 23, 1979 she married Mark Sievert at St. Martin's in Winona. Together they lived in Owatonna for 10 years before moving to Kasson and eventually making their home near family in Utica. She and Mark enjoyed going to flee markets together every weekend. She enjoyed shopping and polka dancing.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Mark; children, Russ Denzer, Duane Denzer, Steve (Cheryl) Denzer, Donna (Dave) Fenske, and Lee (Deena) Rain; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; children, Richard and Diane Denzer; and siblings, Deloris Marks, Vernes Gudmundson, Delaine Graves, Lorraine Dickson, Earl Glenna, Ione Bates, Helen Burt, Shirley La Muir
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Hoff Funeral Home, St. Charles, led by Funeral Celebrant Jen Corcoran. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Joyce will be laid to rest in Hillside Cemetery. Please leave a memory of Joyce and view her video tribute at www.hofffuneral.com. "I knew Joyce when she and Mark lived in Kasson. I never knew anyone with such brilliant blue eyes, and so full of mischief! I hailed also from Winona so we had that in common also.
