"Joe had the most colorful and ecstatic personality I have ever encountered. His smile and laugh was contagious. He would do anything to cheer up someone who was down. I am truly blessed to have had a chance to know Joe. His jokes and hilarious comments would always brighten my day. He was a ray of sunshine for all the guys at the house. He had such a great big heart and truly adored his children. He has definitely left a gaping whole in everyone\'s heart here at HHO, but we are filling it with all the memories, laughs, and hugs that was given by him. We will always remember or \'Cotton-eye Joe\' and He will always be a part of our HHO family."

Jim Siebenaler wrote on Aug 19, 2021:

"My deepest sympathies for Joe?s kids and family. A few years back Joe and I made up the two man crew that was Siebenaler Construction. Feedback I heard most from homeowners/clients was..?Joe is very kind and respectful?...Those two qualities are what I look for most in an employee and, more importantly, a human being. Well done Joe. One evening we had a bad storm at our place that dropped a tree on our home. Without asking, Joe was the first one there with a chainsaw and stayed into the night helping to clear the tree. Joe never asked or expected anything in return. He helped me out on a number of occasions it that way. Take care brother and we?ll see ya later RIP"

"In a town of 220 people where half of them were your relatives you find yourself extra close to those of the same age. Joe you were exactly 1 month younger than me. My bus seat buddy. My classmate. My cousin. My friend. I will forever imbed our memories, cherish our childhood and miss the joy you brought to so many people. I?m sorry for the pain you suffered but now you may rest at ease. Love you buddy!"

"Joe was my husband, for 16 years and the father of my kids. He was an amazing man who struggled to find his own inner happiness everyday. He was VERY proud of his kids, all 4 of them and he loved them all VERY deeply. Even though it didn\'t work out for the two of us, he will always hold a special place in my heart. I spent 18 years of my life with him and never wanted anything but happiness for him. He is deeply missed"
