Susanne was a devoted wife and mother who took the job of raising her children seriously. Her daughters knew firsthand her kind and caring ways. Susanne was creative. Motivated by her creativity and love, she spent many hours making her girl's clothes with her own hands. This is just one example of her giving nature. Her ability to craft and sew was next to none. These able hands departed this world on August 16, 2021, at age 83.

She was born in Rochester, NY in 1938, growing up there with brothers, Paul, James, and George. She was well loved, having close relationships with her cousins and lifelong friends. Many of those friendships began at church (St. Michaels and Holy Rosary) and at Nazareth High School.

Susanne met a guy during her sophomore year in high school that would soon become her life partner. She married and was devoted to her husband Tom for 64 years. They married young and had four beautiful daughters. They enjoyed many trips and loved taking them to the beach. While Tom was in the Navy, Susanne held down the fort at home. Down the road they enjoyed taking care of and had great pride in the grandchildren that blessed their lives.

Church and faith were central to her life as well. Susanne gave much of her time volunteering there, as well as at nursing homes and hospitals. It was in her nature to think of others first. This was apparent in how she spent her time and in her actions. And she never missed anyone's birthday!

Susanne loved to learn new things, especially musical things. It was in her bones. She developed talents for a number of instruments, including the piano, guitar, organ, and trombone! Dancing to those melodies made her life more complete, especially to Moonlight Serenade.

She was very close to her parents, George, and Genevieve. After her dad passed away, she lovingly took care of her mother until she died. Susanne set the bar high, always living by example. She taught all that were close to her how to live and die with grace, humor, and dignity. In her battle with Alzheimer's, she exemplified the true meaning of courage and love. Her individuality, kind and generous ways will be missed.
