José Antonio Mancia Calderon, 90 years old. Born June 25, 1931, in El Salvador to Alejandra Calderon and Julio Cesar Mancia. José immigrated from El Salvador and moved to Kyle, Texas, with his wife Rosa to be closer to his children. He was a farmer and loved to spend every moment outside. He was in constant motion and put all his effort into everything he did. José passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021, in San Marcos, Texas surrounded by the love of his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Julio Cesar Mancia and Alejandra Calderon, His daughter Liz Fragale, granddaughter Senia Mancia, his sister Rogelia Nuñes, and brother Julio Mancia.
José is survived by his wife: Rosa Amelia Interiano, his children Valeria Galdamez, Teresa Quintana, Lidia Christy, Daniel Mancia, Orlando Mancia, Sonia Mancia, Alfredo Mancia, Oscar Mancia, Deisy Allen, Irma Findeisen and Cecy McDermott. He will also be missed by his 27 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, and extended family members.
Please join us in celebrating José life starting with a time of visitation on Thursday, August 12th, 2021, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm followed with a Rosary service and Eulogies from 7:00 - 8:00 pm. A funeral mass Will be held for José on Friday, August 13th, 2021, at 10:00 am at Saint Anthony Marie de Claret Catholic Church, 801 Burleson St, Kyle, TX. Interment will follow at Kyle Cemetery.
