Betty J. McCoy, 94, of Yates City, passed away, Friday, August, 6, 2021, at Farmington Country Manor in Farmington.
She was born on November 15, 1926, in Elba Center, Illinios, to Elmer and Maude (Elliott) Heller. They preceded her in death along with one sister, Marie Bodinus.
She married John McCoy on October 30, 1949. He preceded her in death on December 17, 1999.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet (Gary) Inskeep of Yates City; three grandchildren, Sean Ulm, Ryan (Misi) Inskeep, and Dana (Jim) Dawson; eight great-grandchildren, Ella, Betty, Lindsey, Zachary, Jeremy, Dillon, Austin, and Matthew; and three great- great-grandchildren.
Betty was a member of the Douglas United Methodist Church in Douglas. She was a farm wife with her husband for many years.
A private graveside service will be held at Yates City Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Douglas United Methodist Church or to Farmington Country Manor.
