Kandy Kay Lloyd Welch 75 years old of Henly, Texas passed away July 31, 2021 in Austin, Texas. Kandy was a proud native Austinite born on September 7, 1945 to Julia Marguerite Fruth and William Edward Lloyd.
Kandy attended Lanier High School and graduated in 1964.
Kandy was a third-generation printing specialist working at Steck, Sweet, Hart Graphics, and finally CSI. In recent years, she took a part time job at New Canaan Farms where she left her mark on friends and customers.
Kandy was known for her sweet, loving disposition. Most of all, she loved her husband of 27 years, Gary Welch, Sr. They were not only happily married but were best friends, sharing their printing careers on the back porch every evening as the sun went down.
Her family meant everything to her, and she proved that with the devotion she showed to her daughter, Deedra Moats and her family meals with her sister and brother-in-law Pat Smith and Lee Ferrell where much love, laugher and dominos could be found. Kandy loved being a second mother to her step-children, Kristin Pastrano, Kerri Gonzalez and Gary Welch, Jr. They all brought much love and laughter to life.
Kandy enjoyed nothing more than being a grandmother to her 8 grandchildren, Grace, Jacob, Kaleb, Mia, Addison, Gabriel, Olivia and Noelia.
Memorial Services will be held later to be determined. Memorial donations may be made in her honor to the St Jude's Children's Hospital or The Paralyzed Veterans of America.

"I worked with Kandy for four years at Austex Printing and she was a joy and a blessing. She was funny and smart and kind and full of sass and I truly loved her. She took me under her wing and taught me the technical nature of offset printing as I was a new outside sales rep with no experience. She was a bright spot in my world at the time. We became friends and she encouraged me in ways she probably didn?t know.
Kandy?s love was unconditional and sacrificial. She adored her daughter, husband, and when she and Gary married she welcomed his kids into her sphere of family. She was fiercely loyal and kind, didn?t back down from a fight for what was right, and we are all better people for having known her.
Heaven has a new angel.
