Gerald J. Daly
August 16, 1934 - July 28, 2021

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Lt. Col. Gerald (Jerry) James Daly, 86, passed away July 28, 2021. Jerry, a beloved husband, brother, and loving father, was born in Quincy, MA. He was married to Joan (Fabrizio) Daly and is survived by his four children, Stephen and his wife, Margarita, James, Susan (Daly) Romer and her husband, Robert, and Daniel; and two grandchildren, Jessica (Daly) Bray and Sean Daly; and two great-grandchildren, Alice and Deirdre; and brothers, Timothy and Robert; and sisters, Claire MacCormack, Dina Grazioso, Elaine Pisciottoli. Jerry and his wife enjoyed 64 years of marriage together before Joan's passing earlier this year in March.

Jerry retired at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Air Force after 29 years of service. His distinguished military career included 11 years navigating B-47s with Strategic Air Command, NORAD in Colorado Springs, and building the Stealth fighter prototype in Area 51 as part of Skunkworks. Jerry then received the highest peacetime United States medal, the Legion of Merit, for his achievements in Africa and the Middle East before his Air Force retirement. After another 13 years, Jerry also retired from North American Phillips. During retirement in Mashpee, MA Jerry was involved in educating boaters with the U.S. Power Squadron.

Jerry will be buried at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix in a private family burial service.
